Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jaime Reid Lily has taken on an explorative adventure life of her own!!! We have a huge pine tree in our garden, with both ringtail and brush-tail possums living in it. They are very friendly and I named one of them Reggie a few years ago... watching Reggie come down out of the tree began the Midnight Magic Book Series I have created.

I am a world traveler myself, and absolutely love exploring other places, people, and cultures, and their associated histories.. so Lily is an extension of myself really - and provides me with the opportunity in a fun way, to bring some fo these wonderful things to a young audience. The opportunity is there for readers to go more into depth with their little ones if their imaginations or curiosity are piqued. I have always enjoyed rhyme and this seemed a fun way to tell the little adventure stories!
