You mention Cordwainer Smith as an author among the formative scifi works you were reading in the beginning. Are there any specific works that have most stuck with you? I’m always looking for reading recommendations!

Ooh, many, and if you see any, grab them. Two that stand out are "The Game of Rat and Dragon" and the haunting "A Planet Named Shayol". And, argh, that one with Lord Jestocost and the cat girl, dredging memory... "The Ballad of Lost C'Mell". That one's primo. I've been known to mutter I'd like Miles to be Lord Jestocost when he grows up, if he ever grows up enough (debatable), and Pen, Ginko from the anime "Mushishi", but that's another medium.
