While waiting for book 5 I started reading Quantum Earth and I couldn't help but notice that it seemed to be a very similar experience to what Will was going through on evacuating earth, but on a much more smaller scale. I do some work around disaster recovery (IT) and I can't help but notice your interest in the topic. What about it fascinates you?

When I had a real job, one of my duties was setting up a backup site for disaster scenarios. It got me thinking about all the seemingly trivial details that can bite you in the butt.

Just finished your Outland!! It was an awesome book and believe it or not between you and "Nicholas Sansbury Smith" I think you will turn me into a prepper:). Joking aside I agree with you that as normal citizens we are not ready for an Extinction Level Event of any sort. Does not mean we need to turn into preppers but we should have some self sufficiency at neighborhood/city/county levels at the least. Your though?
