Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Rebecca Taylor My most recently published book is Affective Needs. This book is different from my others because it is strictly contemporary--my other titles have paranormal or metaphysical elements.

The idea for Affective Needs was born out of my career as a school psychologist and my background in psychology and sociology. I see kids every day who are incredibly bright and capable, but because they struggle with significant environmental and family problems, it is difficult for them to accomplish everything they could given a stable home life where their basic needs are met.
