Goodreads asked Becky Wilde:

How do you get inspired to write?

Becky Wilde I’d always wanted to write romance stories and years ago submitted a book for possible publication. My story was rejected but not because the plot was bad. At the time it was considered too short at 45000words. My children were young and life was busy with taking care of my family and working.
However, years later after becoming ill, I quit my job and started writing again. This was a huge turning point in my life.
I had at least 30 rejections but finally after months of persistence, an e-book publisher took a chance on me and published my first story.
I started with Solstice but after a year I changed publishers to Siren BookStrand as Becca Van.
Listening to music and hearing just one line can be the catalyst for a new story. Even hearing a joke can be the basis for a new book. A couple of times, dreams I’ve had have been the premise of a plot. I also have a very vivid and overactive mind which also helps with my creativity.
