Jeffrey asked Glynnis Campbell:

WHEN I WENT TO SCOTLAND, I ATE FOR THE 1ST TIME, 2 FOODS I NEVER HAD BEFORE, HAGGIS AND SALMON(NOT EATEN TOGETHER). I LOVED THEM BOTH. CAN YOU THINK OF ANY FOODS THAT YOU DIDN'T THINK YOU WOULD LIKE, AND AFTER THE 1ST TIME EATING THOSE FOODS, FOUND THAT YOU LIKED THE TASTE OF THAT FOOD?

Glynnis Campbell My surprise food was the same as yours--haggis. I don't care for giblets, so I expected haggis would be sort of, well, offal--ha ha! But it's actually mild tasting, and you don't eat the skin, just the inside, which is crumbly, like meatloaf, mixed with oats and spices. One version I had included cumin, which gave it a nice kick.
