Ramona Harris
Ramona Harris asked Glynnis Campbell:

how do you decide when to set a book in a time period?

Glynnis Campbell I've always been attracted to medieval times. I like to choose non-plague eras, because I don't want to write about death and disease in a romance. Most of my books are in a single series (the legend of Rivenloch) and set in the 12th century. I liked that time, because Scottish people had both Viking and Norman blood, and the border between England and Scotland was disputed and fought over, which makes for some dramatic battles and intermarriages. My first books were set in the 14th century. One series revolves around the life of Mary Queen of Scots in the 16th century. And one series is set in 19th century California.
