(view spoiler)[Hi Lois! Your books continue to be a great gift and companions along the journey. They have also inspired some great fanfic. One idea that is explored now and then is Gregor awarding Illyan the prefix 'Vor' upon his retirement. It would make thing with Alys easier, and I enjoy exploring the concept but I am not sure it would actually fit. Did you ever consider this, and how did you decide for or against? Merci! I decided against, or rather, Simon and Alys did. It's a different political statement if he is offered and politely refuses. And both Alys and Simon not-so-secretly enjoy the transgressiveness of a love affair across caste lines. Cordelia agrees it sets a good example for the younger (and older) generation.

I just finished reading "Penric and the Shaman." Thank you. I enjoy both Pen and Des very much. I did notice something that interests me though. Nowhere in either Penric story or "Hallowed Hunt" Is Chalion mentioned (that I can find), although some other countries like Ibra and Darthica are. Is this because Chalion was too obscure back then, or did Chalion actually not exist that much earlier than Cazaril's time?

I'm finishing my second read of the Vorkosigan Saga and loving A Civil Campaign—it’s been a while since a book made me laugh this much! Quick question: Did the comconsoles emerge because mobile smartphones didn't yet exist, or was it intentional to keep the internet "as a place" (like desktop computers)? Thank you :)
