I started writing Secrets Ever Green ten years ago while living in Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Northwest is known for its rain, but also its lush green forests of leafy ferns, tall evergreens, and moss crawling up trees. Hiking through Forest Park was one of my favorite things to do, and now I imagine Ivy there, wandering through that quiet forest, dwarfed by trees.
