Nina Julian
Nina Julian asked Rick Riordan:

As both a writer and now a producer of this show, are the things that you want to translate to screen but don't because it's too difficult and are there things that you feel have to be left out or rewritten to get the story across as a TV show? If so does this ever aggravate you?

Rick Riordan TV is just a different medium. Some things it can do very well. Other things are difficult to do the same way you might do them in a novel. Is it a hard process to adapt? Absolutely! That's why we see so many bad adaptations. Is it frustrating sometimes? Of course. I think we did a pretty good job, and we had a great team, but as a novelist I am biased. I am always going to tell you that the book is the best version of the story!
