Rick Riordan
The story of Thor challenging Jesus is from the mythology. I didn't make it up. I'm not sure I would want to write about Christian mythology, but there are certainly a lot of interesting stories, both from the Bible and the stories of the saints. (Not to mention the Apocrypha.)
