Hi Lisa! I must say, I'm really looking forward to a potential Steter fic. ^_____^ But I wanted to ask, in your last blog post you pointed out that you read gay fiction but write m/m fiction - how do you distinguish between the two? There are enough definitions out there to make my head spin!

Hi Onyx!
The Steter fic is coming along nicely. Except for Stiles... he's not having fun at all!
I basically see gay fiction and m/m as this:
Gay fiction explores the experiences and identity of LGBTQ people. It's not romance. There can be romantic elements, but it is not primarily a romance.
M/m is romance. It uses romance tropes and traditions, and the focus is on the romantic relationship.
That's how I define them anyway. I'm sure a lot of people define them quite differently, but basically I see them as two very different genres with two very different intended audiences. And of course those audiences can overlap in all sorts of ways, and probably do, all the time.
I hope that kind of makes sense! I'm ridiculously sleep deprived this week!
Happy New Year!

I really enjoyed Tribute. Is there a possibility you might write a sequel or sequels? I fell in love with the main characters of the book and would love to find out what happens with his friend. How he came to be there? What he was thinking the first time they see each other again and what happens after he arrives? Or maybe there's a different tribute you'd like to talk about?

I'm loving Mark Cooper versus America, I've been screaming with laughter. I also think it's subtlety showing the large multi-cultural difference between Australian and Americans. It's a lot bigger than most people realise was that intentional? I still can't believe you've put a poor kid from Bunderburg, into college in PA. :) Paul
