First of all, loved Kings of the Wyld! So cool! Have yet to read Bloody rose but definitely high up on my tbr list. I was just wondering why you chose to have Cooper’s child be a girl? Was there something specific you wanted to capture in a father/daughter relationship?

Not really, no! Those first three chapters really came out of nowhere in the days after I first had the idea. I hadn't even conceived of Clay as a "shield-bearing protector" at the time. I'm glad it happened that way, however. You'll see a bit more of Tally in Bloody Rose (which I hope you like!) and hopefully again in the book-to-come.

My question is something I've really struggled with over the past few years! Have you ever had to scrap a project even after putting a lot of time into it, and if so how do you work past the sort of... feeling of failure that comes with that? Thanks! :D

Hello! This will sound like a silly question - but how old are your main protagonists? There's an r/fantasy challenge going on that's a Bingo of sorts. One of the squares is "Getting Too Old for this Crap" Where the main character or one of them has to be over 50, anyone from your book qualify?
