Nicholas, just wanted to say that Kings of the Wyld was one of the most enjoyable fantasy books I've read in a while. I loved the band analogy with different groups. Was wondering if you'd given thought to who each character was as a member of the band. Seems to me that it would be Gabe - Singer Frontman, Ganalon as the lead guitarist, Clay as the Bassist, Matric as the drummer, and Moog as the quirky keyboardist?

Nicholas Eames Hi! Thanks for saying so! I HAVE given it thought, yeah. I actually think it might be in the interview I did in the back of the book (in the US version, anyway). You actually have it exactly right. While writing the scene where Matrick takes on Larkspur's monks I put a live version of Led Zeppelin's 'Moby Dick' (basically a 20 minute long guitar solo) on repeat and tried to use words that captured the feel of drumming.

Hey Nick! I finished KOTW the other day and it's probably my favorite book I've read all year. As a musician I loved the underlying musical theme. Could your put together Spotify playlist to listen to while reading this book? Personally, I listened to doom metal and stoner rock throughout the read and it fit pretty well. But I'd love to know some of the songs that come to your mind while writing these characters!
