Nicholas, just wanted to say that Kings of the Wyld was one of the most enjoyable fantasy books I've read in a while. I loved the band analogy with different groups. Was wondering if you'd given thought to who each character was as a member of the band. Seems to me that it would be Gabe - Singer Frontman, Ganalon as the lead guitarist, Clay as the Bassist, Matric as the drummer, and Moog as the quirky keyboardist?

Hi! Thanks for saying so! I HAVE given it thought, yeah. I actually think it might be in the interview I did in the back of the book (in the US version, anyway). You actually have it exactly right. While writing the scene where Matrick takes on Larkspur's monks I put a live version of Led Zeppelin's 'Moby Dick' (basically a 20 minute long guitar solo) on repeat and tried to use words that captured the feel of drumming.
Thanks again for reading my stuff!

I love how this is tied to rock bands. I haven't read a book this quickly in years. As a rock/metal fan, what are some of your favorite bands and which ones did you use as references in this book? I caught a few, Neil the Young, but am sure I missed a few. Thank you for the great time!
