Anastasia
Anastasia asked Gail Carson Levine:

Is there an overall theme you strive to express to readers through your work?

Gail Carson Levine I'm more interested in plot than theme, but I hope my values find their way into my stories: kindness, sympathy, effort, and humor!

Elizabeth Faustina
Elizabeth Faustina asked Gail Carson Levine:

Was "The Fairy's Mistake" a retelling of anything? It reminded me of "Mother Holle" by Brothers Grimm!

Bree
Bree asked Gail Carson Levine:

I love your books so much. Especially The Two Princesses of Bamarre. I would love to write suspenseful fantasy books like yours but I don’t have any ideas on what to write. Do you have any advice on how to get inspiration?

alex
alex asked Gail Carson Levine:

Hi! I'm planning to read all of your books, but I'm not quite there yet. So far they're all amazing, though! Anyways, I was wondering what, if anything, gives you inspiration. Like, success stories, books, pictures, people, etc. (Could you please try to be specific? But it's fine if you aren't.) Thanks! :)
