Hello!!! So I am writing a book, and my dad always says that if you write a book, you first figure out the ending. And I was wondering if you started at the ending of Rose Legacy or one of your other books?
Jessica Day George
Eh. No? But also: sometimes?
It depends on why you want to write the book, at least for me. Everybody is different. Sometimes I have a flash of inspiration that is just, "What if we lived in a magic castle?" and then you figure out the problems and solutions as you go along. Sometimes the inspiration comes with the first and last, "What if this girl hated horses, but somehow ended up becoming the queen of the horse people?" When that happens, you write the book toward that ending, yes, but it can be a very rough idea, "Make everyone love horses!" or it can be very specific, "Defeat the evil king with the power of knitting and get out of the underworld." It just depends on you, and your book! Good luck to you with your writing!

Hi Jessica! I love love love your Castle Glower series - it has stuck with me since I was a child and I still adore it! Question - how old are the main cast in the books? You mentioned that Pogue and Celie get married (which is interesting, for sure, because she did seem to have a kid crush on him but he always seemed too old for her to me), so at what age do they marry? Thank you, and hope you're doing well!

Hi, I am a huge fan of you Princess of the Midnight Ball series. I really loved the story line. How you wrote it made me feel like I was part of your story. I loved them. I was wondered what your inspiration was for writing the books, who is your favorite character, and did any characters represent you? Thank you for your time and I would love to hear back. ~Lauren
