Just enough references to make it interesting. Anyone who doesn't take away a lot must have a fixed mindset.
Bill Tyne
Hardly any research references it is primarily based around anecdotal stories which serve to reinforce the idea of two mindsets. As any scientist would tell you this is not a good thing but displays a lack of rigour and depth. This book could be easily replaced with a piece of paper with the phrases "If at first you don't succeed try, try, try again" and "Chin up things will get better".

It's very practical, not too many facts to make it difficult to read.
Ed Meyer
Very practical - coming from a scientific research background - this is a high quality translation of years of academic research. This book gives the reader great examples and tangible tools to take away from the book!

This book is easy to read and very practical. It's based on research of course, but the research references are not mentioned in the text or footnotes but at the end of the book. I think this makes it interesting for a broad audience.
Kyle
It's practical and straightforward. Carol Dweck and her team did a lot of rigorous scientific work, and this book makes it accessible to the general reader.
The research references are in the Notes section at the end of the book. (The endnotes reached up to 256).

This book goes directly to the subject of fixed and growth mindset driven by research. We are here at the crossroads of research results in neurosciences, psychology... it is interdisciplinary. Especially how can you amnestied a fixed mindset to get rid of its limiting thoughts!
Mikel
It's a good mix of both.
Bilal Khalid
this book is ... I could say a character sketch of fixed mindset people and growth mindset people .. and the steps to go from FM to GM... so very much practical .
Liz
this book is easy to read without too much theories. It is mainly for practical uses. However, some of the advices suggested come from common sense, for example, the growth mindset. I think a comprehensive research and analyses could be provided to further extend the importance of growth mindset and how to achieve that based on individuals' qualities and personality.

You might enjoy just picking the book up at a library or store and looking over all her notes at the end of the book.
She references a lot of academic work and other useful books in her endnotes, and that might be more in line with what you'd want.
