I'm part of an online group of 4-6 writer friends who all trade drafts and encourage each other, and I am regularly in awe of their insight. Most of them I've known for years, and we read and beta'd each others' writing when we were all much worse at craft, which I'm convinced is the best way to grow a writing group - find people at the same level and you all get better together (this mainly works if you like similar things in fiction in the first place). And thank you!
