It was mentioned that General Melgren liked to look at Xaden once a year. Xaden said his marking protected him from General Melgren seeing him. It was also mentioned that Xaden had to sleep with General Melgren in the past. Was General Melgren sexual with Xaden? Can someone clear this up for me?
Samantha Peck This is incorrect - if you listened via audio book I can see how that would sound like one phrase but it's written:

So that second part is violet's own thought/narrative not something Xaden says. (less)
