Becca Piercey
Becca Piercey asked Katie McGarry:

I wanted to ask you about the places in your books. I know that most of them are set in or around Louisville, where I am from, so I just wanted to know if any of the places (other than the University of Louisville) are real and if they're places I could go visit! Thanks!

Katie McGarry Hi Becca,

I LOVE this question. I made up a lot of the places in my book, but they were inspired by actual places.

For instance the fountain where Echo and Noah first kiss is inspired by the fountain at St. James Court.

Groveton in Dare You To is a combination of Mt. Washington and Bardstown.

The dragway in Crash Into You is inspired by Ohio Valley Dragway. The large hill that Isaiah and Rachel hang out on is inspired by the hill in Iroquois park and some of the hills in Fairdale.

There are quite a few places in Breaking the Rules (Echo & Noah #2) that I have visited, but I'll talk about that closer to when their book releases in December.

Thank you!

Katie
