Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

R.L. Davis Hays The idea for book 3 of the Translations from Jorthus series came from staring at my Earth Science book in college. The map of the ocean floor fascinated me! The idea that the landscape, if traveling on an ocean bed devoid of water, would hold mountains larger than any seen on land (because the formations of islands would require the mountain to peak over the depth of the sea and then some) was mesmerizing. I wanted to see it!
