The last line was shocking...I would have liked more follow up on that. Was Whitney pregnant at the end? It was never confirmed.

Whitney also ran upstairs and crossed out what he wrote on the wall after seeing that he fell which I think alludes to her being a true psychopath. She put protecting herself over making sure her son was okay. (less)
