I was wondering if you have any tips for aspiring authors of mystery books? I feel like once I get a basis of a plot down it’s hard to turn it into my own style and set my book apart from every other mystery book out there.

I have been trying to figure out an easy answer for you, but I think this mostly just happens from writing more.
