How do you get inspired to write?

E.C. Murray I am inspired. I lost so many years not writing, I don't want to lose a minute. I cut out any non-essential activities in my life, so writing takes second first place after my family.
Reading inspires me. My students inspire me. I literally saved my money to study writing (at the University of Washington and Richard Hugo House) under the mattress so I wouldn't spend it on anything else. I listen well to what other authors say which why I ended at Southampton studying last summer.
