I am halfway through An Irish Hostage and love it just as much as all the previous Bess books. I absolutely LOVE Bess’s independence and admire her for it. However. I’m dying to see Simon and Bess finally admit they love one another! 🤣 Thank you for these amazing stories! How many do you intend to have in the series?

Maintaining the standards Caroline and I established over these many years is vital as I work on continuing both series. The manuscript ifor the next Rutledge Mystery is complete and going through rigorous review before submission. I am encouraged so far.
Right now, I am working on the manuscript for the next Bess Mystery. There are a lot of issues in Bess's life to consider. I hope the new Rutledge will be release in 2024 and the next Bess shortly there after. I too love Bess's independance and her caring. It is critical to make certain the new Bess is done right!

How do you research for your book to set up the stories so well with historical accuracy? The things I’m learning about the time period are just amazing in both the Rutledge and Crawford series and I am amazed at how seamlessly everything comes together in the stories. From to interactions in different kinds of environments, etc.
