I don’t want to spoil anything, but yes! There is a gay relationship in this book that is beautifully written in my opinion. I don’t remember if there are any other LGBTQ characters (aside from these two) in the first couple books though and the relationship starts in the third book

I think? I remember one of the characters falling in love with a character who immediately dies but I don’t remember if it was same sex or not
