The idea for Still Life with Lobster: A Love Story, came from the lake at the end of the road. Lake St. Clair, also known as The Sixth Great Lake, is so big you can't see the land (Canada) on the other side. How could my imagination not be sparked? Oh, and true fact--Detroit is surrounded by islands! Over 20! When most people think of Detroit they think of things like Motown and cars. But islands? Lol, unlikely. So between those two fun facts, I had to set book three of my island romance series on one of the islands of Detroit.
