Firstly, congrats! You have a rich road ahead. I think the hardest element is realizing that there is no ONE TRUE FEMINISM. It comes in all different shapes and sizes and we should not be wasting time judging other women for not being feminist "enough" etc. Part of being a feminist is creating room for all kinds of women to make all kinds of choices.

What is your response to some feminist critique of your work not being inclusive of women of color and 'other' female experiences? Your book is a great inspiration for me personally and is filled with a lot of refreshingly honest stories that I feel can resonate with a lot of women. With the word "feminism" popping up around the news and social media more and more these days, I'm wondering how and if that had an impact on your writing style? How do you define "feminism", and what advice would you give to any females who want to write a novel?
