I absolutely loved your book. I’ve seen a lot of progress for women in the workplace since I started working (in 1976), but not nearly enough. It is so hard to believe that we still have to work harder, be smarter and accomplish more than men. How did you get the toxic workplace atmosphere so true to life?

Hi Ann! It was relatively easy to get the workplace right because like most women entering the workforce in the 80s I'd experienced much of it. But I also reread the Feminine Mystique to get a better idea of how things were back in the 50s and 60s. It's good to know we've made some progress. Just not enough!

No questions just a comment... loved this book. Found it hilarious and have chosen it for my book club to read in September. I do hope my fellow clubbers will have as much fun reading it as I did. Passed my copy on to my husband who is a 'new' reader. He never read any fiction before this year only serious stuff but is now enjoying some of my books and he also liked your book but was disappointed with the ending?

I watched the TV series first and then bought the book and read it at once! Amazing storytelling, I enjoyed it so much. I hope you carry more stories, and I'll be reading them all! I only have one question - have you always known that you'd like to write a book or did it just happen?
