Salut from a Pennsylvanian in Provence ;0)
It seems there's no shortage of expatriate memoirs these days. Please tell us the nitty-gritty of how you got started on your journey from writer to becoming a published author.
Thank-you, and all the best to you,
Hard to quantify, since I began writing at age nine! Getting published is a separate journey from the early impulse to write. I was always writing in little notebooks, then developing "essays." Finally, I saw a coherent book. I've had tons of rejections, then a lucky editor, and then the amazing experience of finding that Under the Tuscan Sun resonated around the world. I couldn't be more surprised! Humbling, for sure.
