Christina asked Coreene Callahan:

Dragons are my favorite mythical creature. I love how majestic and powerful they are and your books portray the perfectly. What do you like most about dragons? What inspired your Dragonfury Series?

Coreene Callahan I've always loved Dragons. So magical. So mystical. Full of power and majesty. I remember being thirteen years old and discovering a picture of a dragon in a medieval history book. That was all it took. My imagination took flight. From then on, dragons have symbolized "all that is possible" for me. Nothing is impossible in the realm of imagination. So when three dragons showed up in the story while I was writing Knight Awakened (Circle of Seven series, book 1), I guess it shouldn't have surprised me. Somehow, though, it did.

Once they were on the page (living and breathing inside Knight Awakened), I started to wonder about Dragonkind--who they were, how they existed, their culture, society and abilities. As I answered those questions, Bastian (commander of the Nightfury dragon-warriors) walked into my head and...boom! The Dragonfury series was born.
