Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Coreene Callahan From my characters. All my books are character driven, so the people in each one have minds of their own. All I do is wind them up and let them go. Sometimes, I feel as though I'm nothing but a scribe, recording the events as my characters move through the story. In my most recent book, Venom (and the nature of his affliction) drove the story arc and love story.

I also love action, suspense and intrigue, so those three elements are always an integral part of my books. Someone is always scheming, misbehaving and/or trying to come out on top, which sends the story in interesting directions. My charaters tend to head into unexpected situations and get into serious trouble. It's always fun seeing how they get themselves out of it.
