I haven't read Legends & Lattes yet and am intrigued by this series. I was just accepted for an ARC of this on netgalley so I'm wondering, should I start with Legends & Lattes or could I start with the prequel?

There's not a lot of world-building, so readers should be comfortable with kind of Generic European Fantasy Universe, but you're not missing out on crucial explanations if you skip book 1.(less)
