Is she saying to get all of your clothes out onto the floor, and then sort them by category, and then purge by category? I feel like it would be difficult to sort by category if you've just dumped every category of clothing into one big pile.

Some things I knew were just a few treadmill miles from fitting, therefore holding a spot in the closet, once on, it became obvious I would have to run to the moon and back 5 times for them to ever fit again and they would be a decade out of style before I got it done. It was much more obvious than looking at them on the hanger and the image in the mirror made it very easy to end their life in my life. I like her methodology and page by page she is changing my hoarding way.(less)
