Goodreads asked R.M. ArceJaeger:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

R.M. ArceJaeger When I have writers block, I find it's usually because there are little questions that are bogging me down and keeping me from proceeding. I keep a notebook split into two sections --- Plot and Questions. When I come up with an idea for my story, I put it into the Plot section. Anytime I have a question (no matter how trivial), I write it down in the Question section. That is very important because sometimes I'll come up with a great plot idea, but five or six small problems will occur to me. Rather than ignoring the problem or storing them in my brain to address later, I write them down as I think of them as a Question. That frees my brain to focus on the plot and ensures that I don't forget to plug any plot holes. When I think of the answer for a question, I put it in Plot and check off the corresponding Question. Try it! :)
