What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Travis W. Inman Finding Nemo offers the best advice ever, "Just keep swimming!"
I wrote my first book on a spiral notebook with a pencil when I was a teenager. It's a horrible book--I know that now! But I was proud of it, (and I still am) but I was so disappointed when my friends and family weren't as excited as I was. But, I just set that book aside and started another story. Well, that one wasn't so good, either. BUT, it was better than the last one. By the time I wrote When Love Calls, I had three bad books behind me, but I figured out what I was doing wrong. The best advice ever? Just keep swimming! It took me 19 years from the first horrible book I wrote to the book that got published.
