How do you get inspired to write?

Travis W. Inman I'm never searching for inspiration. Really. It is looking for me. Everywhere I go I find something that will spark in my mind and a new story idea takes seed form. Whenever I hear a sermon in church, or see a funny thing in Walmart parking lot, or watch people at the mall, I will see or hear something that grabs me. Now, here is the tricky part--I have to write it down or I lose it. And I mean quickly, too! I have an entire box of story ideas written on napkins, envelopes, wedding announcements, guest name tags, etc...

My point is, I'm a blundering discoverer, inspiration finds me. I only hope to be paying attention when it happens!
