Goodreads
Goodreads asked Brian Rathbone:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Brian Rathbone Seeing my stories become real is the most rewarding thing for me. My stories are transient and unstable until I commit them to words; only then do they become a part of my reality.

Christina Heath
Christina Heath asked Brian Rathbone:

It wasn't quite clear to me when reading the Godsland series: Do people who are gifted with power use ONLY Istra's comets as their source? There seemed to be implied that Vestra provides strength, especially to many artifacts. That, combined with the an ability to draw strength from the air and surroundings made me wonder why sorcerers and other powerful men and women were not a constant between the cometstorm's cycle

Heidi
Heidi asked Brian Rathbone:

Hi, I noticed that you don't reference Mercedes Lackey as an influence, but I notice that Call of the Herald looks a lot like the Magic's Price/Pawn, etc, novels. Did you read those & how did they influence your writing or interest in Fantasy?
