Bobbie C. Thompson My spouse, Alana Nicole Sholar, released her memoir, "Hung in the Middle: A Journey of Gender Discovery" in 2012 about being born transgender in Kentucky in the 1960's ... a time and place where no one even knew the word 'transgender.' (read Chapter 1 at www.hunginthemiddle.com).

I figured if Alana could share her experiences, then I should tell 'my side of our story'
