Goodreads asked Brian Freeman:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Brian Freeman You just have to write your way through it. It's easy for writers to psyche themselves out, and you can't give in to that. The reality is, once you reach the editing process, the passages that felt "blocked" -- where you were clawing for each word -- sometimes are the best parts of the book. And the parts that "flowed" need the most work. So don't listen to the demons. Just keep writing.
