Loved and just finished The Cliff’s Edge also. Look forward to the next one as well as the next Rutledge book. My sister set me on to both of these great characters. I’ve been hooked ever since! Are you planning any new characters?

Dear Nicholas:
I am glad to hear you enjoyed The Cliff;s Edge! Your sister must have great taste... We always intorduce new characters in each new mystery. Some make a reappearance in later mysteries and some do not. Much depends on wheather or not they have a role to play or have something more to say. For example Mrs. Channing in the Rutledge series and Sargent Lassiter in the Bess Series. Letting the characters come alive and dictate their roles can make a writer's life difficult but definitely more interesting!
