My dad doesn't like to read much, I gifted him Kings of the Wyld and he loved it, thank you! My question is, if you could go to a concert of any band at any point in time, which would you choose?

Nicholas Eames Thanks for saying so. I'm really happy to hear that. My dad doesn't read much either, but he's a big KotW fan as well ;)

As for the concert? Probably Led Zeppelin, as the crowd would be chill and they were pretty excellent showmen. I watched a ton of live Zeppelin concerts while writing that book, and they were always amazing--especially when Jimmy Page decided to play a guitar with a violin bow!

Hi, I know the characters in the book are mirrored after musicians, but who were your real-life influences? I ask, because there is a moment in the book where Clay's internal monologue speaks to Ganelon deserving the stone treatment. Later he contradicts himself, but in a good way. It's hysterical, and I love the character interactions. Such a great book. I've just finished Kings of the Wyld, thought it was a really great read! I know you've mentioned before that your inspiration was treating Heroes/Adventurers like Rock Stars, and that really shows. When I was reading it though, mainly because of my own background, I was getting a really heavy (and awesome) 'D&D' vibe... I was wondering if you're a Tabletop player/DM yourself? And, if so, was it an inspiration at all?
