Getting paid for something that I enjoy thoroughly; for me writing is a way of relaxing, a hobby bordering on an obsession (as Erasmus said "the desire to write grows with writing"). It might sound cliched but I also genuinely love that people get enjoyment out of my writing. Seeing your book for sale in Waterstones is also (for lack of a better word) cool.
