One Plus One got me hooked on your writing, and I can't wait to read more. But as we all know, even the best authors sometimes get snarky reviews. It's a risk of putting ourselves out there as artists. Writer-to-writer, how do you move on/deal psychologically with not-so-friendly reviews? Thanks and all best.

Hi Heather - it's always hard. But I tell myself that even with singers who I love, there are bound to be songs on an album I like less - so why should books be any different? Unless you are churning things out to a formula, not everyone is going to like everything you do. If it's good criticism I try to learn from it, if it's pure snark, I tell myself it's something going on in their life and probably not much to do with me...

Loved Me Before You! My son died of cancer in 2010 and one of the hardest things I struggle with sometimes is a feeling of numbness. This book somehow helped release the pain stuck in my body, so thank you for an amazing heart-felt book Jojo. I am half way through The Girl You Left Behind. This is a comment and not a question, so I guess I didn't follow the rules very well. Thank you, Dana Goodman
