What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Alex Martin Escaping into a world you have created. Time is meaningless and flies by unheeded. While in a 'writing vortex' it can be a thrilling ride but it is also satisfying to hone, correct, re-read and craft the work until you have that wonderful sense of completion. Hang on! It's never finished! Never perfect - I'll rephrase that - as good as I can make it at my current level of ability. Always learning - and I love that too.
