For the Rose Trail, it was an experience I had donkeys years ago. I was viewing an empty house for work purposes and I had an extraordinary frisson of electricity. I saw the house, and the people who lived in it, in the style of the 1600s. I knew them instantly and recognised their features. It has taken nearly 40 years to realise them on paper but I recall the sensation and the visual images as if it were yesterday.
