Goodreads asked James Scouller:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

James Scouller If you're a nonfiction writer, write what you care about. If you don't care about it, don't write it.

Simple as that.

You must have a passion for your subject AND believe that what you have to say will help others. If you don't, don't embark on the journey, as what you write will lack the vital spark that helps you connect with readers.
