I read the autobiography of Mark Twain, and he taught me how to handle writer's block ~ although for me, it's not exactly writer's block, it's art block. Like what shall I paint? He said, "You just wait." He would wait sometimes for years before he finished a book, and then "they wrote themselves." I usually don't have that kind of luxury, deadlines loom, we live in a much faster world these days. But one day, I realized that a creative block, is sometimes necessary, it's the foundation for the creation, just part of the program, and I let myself off the hook. When I have a deadline, I sort of push myself through it until it goes away, because creativity is unending, just finding it sometimes can be difficult.
