Goodreads asked D.R. Wells:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

D.R. Wells If you're an aspiring writer, let me give you some friendly advice: don't take yourself too seriously. Sure, writing is important work and you should take it seriously, but you don't have to let it become your whole life. Writing can be an enjoyable escape, so don't put too much pressure on yourself to be perfect. Don't be afraid to experiment and try new things; it's how you'll find your own unique voice and style. And, finally, don't forget to have fun! Writing can be a great way to express yourself, so don't be afraid to channel your creativity and let the words flow. After all, that's why we write in the first place!
