Hi! What was something that surprised you about writing books?

I'm not sure anyone has asked me that before. lol
A couple of things come to mind.
I've always written stories. Even as a child. I was so surprised to know other people would want to read those stories! And that they would want me to write more for them to read. lol
The other thing that surprised me was the amount of discipline it took and all the editing. It's one thing to write for yourself, but to write professionally you have to put a lot of effort into it.
